Dear Colleagues,
It is a great pleasure and honor for us that the
European Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association
has chosen Athens, Greece to host the next 8th EHPBA Congress on June 18-20, 2009.
On behalf of the EHPBA we would like to invite
you all interested in HPB diseases to join us in
this very important event and we can assure
that we will try hard, working together with the
scientific committee of our association, to
provide you with a comprehensive, high quality
and
|
 |
updated program. We will have also the
opportunity to get together with the top HPB
colleagues and to exchange our knowledge as
well as to work on ideas in improving our
science and most important our patients care. The success of the meeting will be secured by the close cooperation with the International HPB Association, which is the umbrella society of all the Region's associations.
Accepted abstracts will be published and
papers may be submitted for publication in
EHPBA, journal, HPB which is now listed in
MEDLINE. Accepted abstracts will be evaluated
and awards will be provided to the best scientific works.
It is needless to say something more from what
you have already know about Athens cultural
and intellectual heritage. Because of the
preparations for the Olympic Games in 2004, the
city has been transformed, and those of you who
have not visited Athens since will discover a very
different environment.
We will arrange all social
activities around the historical center so you will
have the opportunity to discover or re-discover
not only Greek but also the European roots.
We hope that you will enjoy both a highly
interesting scientific meeting and your stay in
our city.
